Isaiah 8:18 (NKJV):
“Behold, I and the children whom the LORD has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, who dwells in
Mount Zion.”
Hebrews 2:13 (NKJV):
“And again: ‘Here am I and the children whom God has given Me.’”
This Scripture is not a poetic statement. It is a prophetic declaration that unfolds progressively through the entire Bible. Isaiah spoke it
prophetically, Jesus fulfilled it personally, and the end-time sons fulfill it corporately.
SECTION 1: “I” — God Appearing in His Own Body
John 1:14 — “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.”
1 Timothy 3:16 — “God was manifested in the flesh.”
Two thousand years ago, God did not merely speak or appear externally. He entered a human body as the Son of Man. This body was the pattern body — the first and perfect expression of redeemed humanity.
Luke 24:39 — “A spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.”
Jesus alone completed the cycle:
- Lived as Son of Man
- Died
- Rose with a transformed body
Romans 8:29 — “That He might be the firstborn among many brethren.”
SECTION 2: Why God Came as One Man First
John 12:24 — “Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone.”
If Christ had not come as one, He could never have multiplied Himself
into many. The ‘ I’ had to come before ‘the children’ .
SECTION 3: “And the Children” — God’s Reproduced Life
Hebrews 2:10 — “To bring many sons to glory.”
Hebrews 2:11 — “For both He who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all of one.”
The children are not forgiven sinners alone, but sons sharing the same life.
Romans 8:14 — “As many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God.”
SECTION 4: Pentecost — The Children Conceived (Seed Stage)
John 14:17 — “ He dwells with you and will be in you.”
1 Corinthians 6:19 — “Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.”
At Pentecost, God entered believers by the Spirit. This was not fullness, but seed.
Ephesians 1:14 — “Who is the guarantee of our inheritance.”
SECTION 5: The Necessity of Blood Cleansing
Hebrews 10:22 — “ Having our hearts sprinkled … and our bodies washed.”
1 John 1:7 — “The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin.”
The blood does more than forgive. It prepares the body as a dwelling place for God.
SECTION 6: Seeing and Becoming — The Law of Transformation
2 Corinthians 3:18 — “ Beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image.”
1 John 3:2 — “When He appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.”
Transformation happens by revelation, not effort.
SECTION 7: Son of Man Revealed Again (Not Incarnated Again)
John 16:12 — “ I have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.”
Colossians 1:27 — “ Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
The same Spirit that lived in Jesus now reveals the same life in the children.
SECTION 8: How Body Change Takes Place
Romans 8:11 — “He … will also give life to your mortal bodies.”
2 Corinthians 5:4 — “ Mortality swallowed up by life.” Life grows within until death loses authority.
SECTION 9: The Final Change
1 Corinthians 15:51–53 — “We shall all be changed.” This is not escape, but completion.
SECTION 10: Final Fulfillment
Romans 8:19 — “The creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God.”
Now the Scripture stands fulfilled: “ I” — God perfected in one body.
“And the children” — God reproduced in many bodies.
SUMMARY
God appeared as one Son of Man.
God entered many sons by the Spirit. God matures them by revelation.
God transforms them by life. God defeats death by fullness.
Thus the Word is fulfilled:
“ Behold, I and the children whom God has given Me.”
